Designing Assessments

Now that you have learned about assessment, learner outcomes, and assessment tools, design a new assessment for one of your course outcomes. Your assessment should include the following:

• The course outcome to be assessed
• The NHCC, MnTC, and discipline-specific standards to which the outcome maps
• The nature of the assessment (formative, summative, etc)
• The specific assessment tool
• How you will know if the outcome has been met
